Cala d'Or is not a closed holiday complex – it is a tourist resort of considerable size. The authorities and different professional and neighbours’ associations have joined forces to execute a programme entitled OVA (Optimized Vacational Area) in order to guarantee conditions similar to those of a holiday park.
